A few years ago, Mandy went south from Massachusetts to attend college in Virginia. A few months after leaving post-graduation, she would return. While working, she'd met a young man named James. A jack of all trades, or as he'd call it, " A Renaissance Man." Eventually, the two would grow and become each other's best friends.

Today's wedding took place on the family's land, and the collective labor of their village created the celebration. Mandy helped move rocks for the patio, Mandy's aunt crafted the flowers, and her mother-in-law cooked the food. Even the vows were shared on a deck, handcrafted by their tribe. 

As the sun set, supporters came to the microphone to provide well wishes and attest to the couple's character, why they felt they were the perfect pair, and how the couple has helped them navigate their lives.
