Today I had the great pleasure of working with Helleny and Bar, two young people who traveled from Israel to find their forever love. While working for her father, Bar noticed Helleny and invited her to Starbucks. Who knew that this would one day lead to courtship, laughter and eventually adventures as a pair. As things progressed, Bar knew that he wanted to make Helleny his wife and so began the workings of the perfect proposal. Carefully planned and intricately crafted, he called and explained that he was stuck at work and needed her to drop off supplies at a hotel they often worked with. Oblivious to what was in store, Helleny made her way downtown and soon found herself looking for Bar atop of the building. To her surprise, there he was, down on one knee, asking her to take the next step in life with him. And so the story begins and we find ourselves in Pittsburgh, surrounded by a small gathering of friends and family at the Chabad of Pittsburgh. There they participated in a traditional ceremony that ended with a stomping of the wedding goblet, followed by a feast for the ages and a few intimate speeches from high school friends. Next the two sat down for a live stream, where family from around the world provided well wishes to the newlyweds. After wipping a way a few joyful tears, Bar whisked his bride to the dance floor where Adam, from Powerbomb Entertainment, DJed the night away. I had worked with Helleny’s father before and the one thing I can remember is how much he cared for his family and how much he enjoyed dancing, both were on display throughout the evening. Mazeltov to the bride and groom!
