The preparatory activities to any big event sometimes have a frenetic pace. There are always last minute wrinkles to iron out. Emily ironed hers out, literally. In a room filled with her bridesmaids, who were busy getting their game faces on, she steamed fitted a few sections of her gown. The ceremony was held at Duquesne University’s “Old Main” building, in The Chapel of The Holy Spirit. Emily and her main squeeze, both Duquesne alums were wed on the same grounds where they received their college diplomas. She fought back tears as her Dad gave her hand to Charles at the altar. Photos from the campus football field preceded a lively reception at The Omni William Penn Hotel, downtown. Charles’ brother orated quite the touching toast. It was a great day for The Duke and his lady Duke.
