Today I made my way up to Washington County for Elena and Andrew’s wedding. It was my first time meeting the two in person but I really enjoyed our phone conversations as Elena is full of energy and says exactly how she feels. However today she didn’t need to say anything, the excitement on her face was easy to read as she was about to wed Andrew, her love and lifetime partner and best friend……..After getting ready Elena and I made our way for a first look, where Andrew was waiting by the graveside of Elena’s mother, who had passed a few years earlier. Although a somber moment, I know she’s happy to see that her youngest daughter has met a man as kind as Andrew. After taking a few portraits on the campus of Washington and Jefferson, we made our way to the Washington Hotel for the ceremony. It was great to see so many loved ones. KDKA’s Rick Sebak officiated the ceremony with a few jokes and wise words of advice. There good friends Molly and Martin even Facetime’d in from Australia. Once the “I do’s” were done, we made our way toward the reception where everyone enjoyed a few reflections, some bright toasts and dancing.
