These newlyweds might be from opposite ends of the globe, but they came together in a simple courthouse ceremony, making their partnership official. Pinak is of Indian descent and Elena is Russian. Their parents had never met each other prior to this day, so they were thrilled to do so on this momentous occasion. At breakfast, Elena’s mom attempted to teach me a bit of her native Russian language while Pinak and Elena sat back and enjoyed watching me stumble over various pronunciations. From their home we went to a park for a short stroll and watched dogs cool off in the water. Next, we stepped into the court house for a quick, yet touching ceremony and then to the reception which was held at The Hyeholde Restaurant in Moon Township, PA. Known for its scenic and picturesque backdrops, it was the perfect setting for a magical celebration of the joining of two people from different worlds and cultures.
