One of my first and favorite weddings was Salesi and Emily’s, I mean it’s not every day that you hear about a couple meeting while playing Rugby. But that is the story of these two lovebirds who made things official in a wild, raucous celebration in The Magic City of Miami, Florida. A blending of backgrounds was on parade as Salesi, who is Samoan, his All-American bride and their guests whooped it up in cultural style. I got to know the couple, their families as we walked a half a mile to the church. Salesi and I worked together at an Irish Pub in Atlanta as I was saving up for my first camera and he was working there as a side gig. Rain that was lingering around all day, stopped just in time for the wedding. The party that followed featured a big tent, 4 roasted pigs and awesome live music. Salesi even surprised his new wife by playing Eric Clapton’s “Wonderful Tonight” on his guitar. He also nearly brought himself and the house down when he stood on a table that almost collapsed under him. It was a great time and I couldn’t be more greatful for the opportunity. A special thanks to you both for helping me get started on in my new career
