Today I had the chance to celebrate Mike and Heather and the blending of two families into one. Their story began at The Highland Park Reservoir where they enjoyed moments of soft smiles and laughs together. They enjoyed each other’s company and it led to an after hours walk around the Pittsburgh zoo. It’s rare that these two get alone time, together since they are the proud parents of four children and a fifth inbound. It was a welcomed breath of fresh air to simply enjoy each other’s time. After this, they met at Water’s Edge where their families and a few polite, yet playful, seals awaited them with hand and fin claps! Even though the rain clouds interrupted the flow for a few minutes, nothing could wash away the joy felt by everyone in attendance. The speeches by their children were sweet and heartfelt and Heather’s father, the patriarch of the family, provided words that reminded us of the importance of life. What a wonderful evening! Congrats!
