Today I had a chance to shoot an outdoor wedding which always adds a personal touch to the events of the day. The background images, structures, sounds, and the scent of summer flowers make for a unique event. The property where this event was held had so many of those things, there wasn’t enough time to capture them all on film. Danny and Kelly are musicians. Some of their peers in that field were present and stood up and sang for the guests. But what stood out the most was the personalization of nearly everything--cards, flowers, and even the toast from the best man, which was delivered in a specialized manner. Kelly’s dad was a Marine in WWII and the photos of those two together were touching. The weather was threatening, but held off, possibly by divine intervention. The sky kept quiet and for Danny and Kelly, that was music to their ears.
