I met CJ and Bri about a year ago for an engagement shoot at The Point. I think it was their story, or maybe their collective energy that won me over. “Wait?”” “Isn’t it me, who was supposed to be winning them over?!” Seriously, they really made me feel wanted and that was kind of cool and greatly appreciated. Over the course of the next year CJ and I would talk from time to time regarding the wedding plans. This guy was really putting forth the effort to make sure everything was perfect for Bri, and it was just that. From the moment I stepped into the Sheraton at Station Square everyone was super excited for the occasion. Bri was very chill throughout the morning prep, simply happy to be there with her friends and family, ready to marry the man she’d come to love. I admit I teared up a bit as CJ prepared. From his dad helping with his cufflinks, to the embrace he had when his mother saw him dressed for the first time. The crescendo came when he silently read Bri’s letter. It was deep! Had the allergies kick-in, “act professional Sean!” What a morning. Everyone met at the top of Mount Washington for a catholic ceremony at St. Mary’s and then we jumped aboard the Kennywood Trolly. An unexpected turn when the original DJ called in sick. No worries, never-fear- the-trolly-driver is here. Yes, I said that right, the trolly driver also doubled as a DJ, stepping in to spin the ones-and-twos during the evening’s festivities proving once again that not all heroes wear capes. I can’t make this up. From there, we went around the city taking pictures and having fun. What I loved about this bridal party was that everyone was having a good time. I can’t remember a single moment that one person didn’t have a smile draped across their face. After returning to The Lamont, CJ and Bri began greeting their guest from various chapters of their lives. Next, there were a few slow dances followed by hysterical speeches. Soon the pair made their way to a dance floor that was packed for the entire night. At that moment I don’t think there was a better place to be in Pittsburgh and I’m happy I was able to be a small part of the action. Thanks to you both for the memory. All the best!
