Cara and Dom have known each other since they were students in elementary school. Growing up, they were in the same classes and summer programs, and both were graduates of Allderdice High School. The two seemed destined for great things, but it didn’t occur to either of them that they’d pursue those things together until a summer post-high school when the light sparked. For the next few years, the two would attend schools and live in different states, yet through weekend trips, facetime calls and timely texts, they were able to keep the fire going and here we are today. Now this wasn’t a different sort of a day. The vows were heartfelt but less than super serious; the officiant was both a fan and a friend. We went four feet to transition to the reception where Cara’s father gave one of the funniest speeches I’ve heard in some time (man Dom, you’re a great sport). From there, they had a family dinner, then took in some dancing before the hora. I had so much fun tonight. Seeing Dom’s huge smile every time he peaked at Cara reminded us all how we should look at our soulmates each and every day. Thanks Cara and Dom, I had a blast.
