Alexandria & Pierre’s Whimsical Wedding at Seven Springs

A Few Words to Begin With...

Every wedding has its own rhythm. But Alexandria and Pierre’s wedding? It was a symphony—loud, beautiful, emotional, magical. Held at the stunning Seven Springs resort in Pennsylvania, this wasn’t just a celebration. It was a vibe. Think Disney meets jazz parades, mermaids twirling on the dance floor, and a couple that knows how to party like royalty.

I. Across Cities and Into Forever

Alexandria, a Pittsburgh girl with a heart full of sparkle, met Pierre down in New Orleans. Two worlds, two cities, two beautiful souls. Their relationship grew from shared culture and laughter into something deep, unshakable, and full of life.

When it came to planning their wedding, they didn’t hold back. This wasn’t going to be a neutral-toned, muted affair. No way. Alexandria wanted color. She wanted magic. She wanted mermaids. And Pierre? He was all in. Because when you love someone like that, you show up in style—horn section and all.

II. Sequins, Singing, and Pre-Ceremony Magic

From the first click of the camera, it was obvious—this day was going to be something special.

In the bridal suite, Alexandria and her bridesmaids belted out Disney songs while getting ready. “Under the Sea,” “Circle of Life,” “Be Our Guest”—each song a reminder that the day ahead wasn’t just about looking good; it was about celebrating who they are.

Meanwhile, Pierre and his crew? No less joyful. Less singing, sure—but a lot of storytelling, brotherhood, and energy. You could feel it: these were people who loved deeply and laughed often.

As a wedding photographer, these are the kinds of moments I live for—unfiltered, electric, and full of life.

III. A Ceremony Fit for a Mermaid Queen

Seven Springs delivered. Sunlight poured through the trees, casting a soft glow over the forest ceremony setting. Alexandria walked down the aisle in a dress that shimmered like water—mermaid-core at its finest. Every step was like something out of a fairytale.

Pierre’s eyes? Locked on her. You could feel it ripple through the crowd: this was real. This was love.

Their vows were heartfelt. Personal. They spoke to a shared life—past, present, and future—and not a dry eye remained. The only thing better than the words was the way they looked at each other after.

IV. Let the Good Times Roll: The Reception Parade

Cue the brass band.

No really—cue it.

As the newlyweds entered the reception, they were greeted not by applause, but by a full New Orleans-style second line. Horns, drums, and pure joy filled the room. Guests danced in costume—yes, costume!—ranging from foxes to sea creatures, each one more excited than the last to join in the revelry.

This wasn’t just a reception. It was a parade. A party. A celebration of life, love, and the wonderful weirdness that makes a wedding unforgettable.

V. Tears, Toasts, and the Best Dance Floor Ever

Every great party needs a few emotional gut punches—just to keep things balanced.

The toasts were just that. From parents to lifelong friends, everyone had a story to tell about Alexandria and Pierre—some hilarious, some tear-inducing, all heartfelt. I watched through my lens as laughter turned to tears and back again.Tessa June Photography

And then… the dance floor.

This crew did not come to sit still. Everyone danced. Everyone laughed. The floor was alive, swirling with energy and joy and movement. No conga line, no air guitars—just real people, having the time of their lives.

VI. Through the Lens: Why This Wedding Mattered

From a photography standpoint? This wedding was a dream.

Everywhere I turned, there was emotion. Alexandria’s radiant joy. Pierre’s steady warmth. The candid shots of guests mid-laughter. The sparkle of the dress, the glow of the forest ceremony, the wild color explosion of the reception—it all made for a perfect storm of visual storytelling.

Wedding photography is about moments, not poses. And Alexandria and Pierre gave me a gallery of real ones—moments that mattered.

VII. More Than a Wedding: Their First Chapter

What sticks with me most is this: these two were complete on their own before they met. They had their lives, their stories, their passions. But together, they became something even greater. A team. A force. A celebration of what happens when two joyful people say, “Let’s do this—together.”

From the sparkler sendoff to the quiet kisses in between, their wedding was the first page of something unforgettable.

Final Thoughts: Why This Wedding Will Always Stand Out

It wasn’t the costumes. It wasn’t even the brass band or the glittering gown.

It was the joy. The authenticity. The clear, beautiful love between two people who celebrated exactly who they are—and invited the world to join in.

Alexandria and Pierre didn’t plan a wedding to impress anyone. They planned a wedding that reflected them. And it worked. Beautifully. Every moment was personal. Every detail mattered.
