Alex and Andy live in Ohio, but Pittsburgh is where they saw one another for the first time. In town for the weekend, they met on the campus where it all started. Every relationship is unique to its participants, and who knew a not-so-competitive game of ultimate frisbee would fling the two into one another’s arms. What started out as friendship eventually evolved into a courtship with both parties supporting the other as they continued their academic pursuits. They worked together on everything, from planning to defend dissertations to unsuccessfully uprooting Alex’s car stuck in ice, compliments of a Pittsburgh winter storm. As their collegiate years at CMU came to a close, Andy would take his talents to Seattle but leave his heart with Alex. For them, distance didn’t matter as they made every effort to talk on the phone, Facetime and make trips to one another’s cities. After a brief stay, Andy eventually left the West Coast for a job in Dayton Ohio so he could be closer to Alex. "Boss Move"..........Soon the two would make Dayton their home together. That together would lead to a forever proposal. I really enjoyed walking Carnegie Mellon with these two. They have a sort of quirkiness that complements the other. You can tell they’re most at ease when they’re within the other’s arms. You love that when you see it. Thanks, Alex and Andy! I look forward to your wedding in November.
