Kristen and Sean were an easy match. One of their similarities is working with young people. The two met while working at a summer camp and there was an instant connection. After a few years of dating, Sean, a soccer coach, made it his “goal” to make Kristen his bride. After some strategizing, he made his move, taking the knee and scoring his bride to be. And so we found ourselves on the streets of the city’s North Side where the two made their life’s pledge at St. Peter’s Church. After a brief but sweet ceremony, we made our way upon the golden gates of the Clemente Bridge and onward to the Carnegie Science Center, where friends told detailed toasts that highlighted their times together. And as evening made its way over the Steel City sky, loud cheers could be heard a few feet away at Heinz Field. Most would say it was in celebration of Pitt’s triumph over UCF, yet I’d like to believe it was in celebration of Kristen and Sean and the life they’ve begun as one.
