A little over a year ago, Anna and Jack were planning their dream wedding in the Bay Area. Yet life doesn’t always go as planned. When Anna’s mom unexpectedly became sick, they chose to take the burden of travel off during her recovery and decided to have their wedding day in Pittsburgh, the city where Anna grew up. The couple’s choice of venue was the Grand Concourse, a historic landmark in Pittsburgh, originally built in 1901 and called the Pittsburgh and Lake Erie Railroad Station. Its interior walls have served as a welcomed destination for friends and family reacquainting. Such was the case for this evening as the couple found themselves happily encircled by a hundred friends and family who literally traveled from coast to coast to share in their blissful occasion. Shortly after the ceremony atop the Concourse steps, guests took to the microphone and told stories of their times with the couple, ranging from adolescent summers to college road-trips. While each story began highlighting each individual’s early life and detours, every story found its way to today, their union station, marking their final stop as individuals and their first steps as couple. Thanks Anna and Mark for allowing me the chance to be part of your day. A special shout-out to the talented Michael Jones who I had the pleasure of teaming up with this evening.
