This weekend, I enjoyed covering the wedding of Sujay and Rajvee. A couple who currently live in the Atlanta area, the two decided to return to Pittsburgh to be around family and friends. The preparations for their traditional Hindu wedding began at Rajvee’s parents’ home where a few traditions took place with family and friends. After lunch, the couple made their way to the top of Mount Washington where they met a larger party of friends and family, many of whom traveled a long distance to take part in the couple’s celebration. The next day, everyone met at Pittsburgh’s International Airport where Sujay would ride upon a horse amongst a caravan of friends and family, eager to meet Rajvee and begin the wedding ceremonies. To be honest, I couldn’t get enough of the endless displays of affection, tradition and collective care shared by all that attended the couple’s celebration. The bright colors, the multiple food courses and combinations, the dancing and dress. So many great things happened in a consolidated amount of time, but most importantly, Sujay and Rajvee became one, a combination of great people, a solid bond for life. Thank you both for letting allowing me to be your wedding photographer, I’m forever grateful. All the best.
