When one joins a fraternity, they usually expect to meet friends and make some fond memories. Who’d have thought you’d meet your forever. This was the case with Julie and Jim, two college sweethearts who met while rushing for an Academic fraternity. They joined the Greek organization and eventually joined hearts. Their wedding day took place in Ford City. I’ve never been there and you’ll have to forgive my ignorance as I expected to find myself in a town awash with Fusions and F-150s. Alas, I didn’t find that, but I did find the church, Christ Prince of Peace, an amazing piece of architecture that was nestled next to the East Allegheny River. There, my friend Tom and I began to capture Julie and Jim’s day. Every wedding is different but one thing that resonated with me, besides the love these two had for one another, was the affection they shared for their folks. From Jim’s fist pounds with his father to Julie’s first dance with her father, you could tell that these two came from fantastic families. As day moved to night, we moved to St. Mary’s Parish for timeless speeches, dazzling dance moves, and a Jenga game that ended with a crash. I had a great time and relived the day’s festivities the entire way home. Take care, Julie and Jim, the best to you both in the future.
