Today I had the chance to attend the celebration of Isaac and Lydia. Nestled on a side-street of Pittsburgh, St. George’s Greek Orthodox ceremony displayed a level of ritual that was both interesting and awe-inspiring. I had never been in St. George and I loved the amount of character and dedication to early traditions. Throughout the ceremony, I enjoyed seeing Isaac sneak Lydia a smile and her return the gesture with one of her own. Upon leaving the church, we headed to Schenley Park’s Visitor’s Center for the reception. There, the happy couple entered the tent with the sound of bagpipes signaling their grand yet humble entrance. After food and fellowship, the group got together for a few formal dances that led to a fun-filled night. Thanks for allowing me to be part of your day. I had a great time and really enjoyed the Millie’s Ice Cream at the night’s end. ☺ My best to you both.
