"What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas." Well, most of the time. A few years back, on a family vacation, Katie and her father sat at a casino table for a little fun. At the table was a stranger named Tyler, but by the end of the occasion, he'd become her best friend. While most poker players try avoiding emotion over cards, these two broke the rules, smiling, laughing, and talking the whole time. Instead of focusing on their cards and chips, they were on one another. Alas, when Katie went to walk away, Tyler didn't stop her at first, sitting there with a dumbfounded look on his face. Luckily the dealer quickly said, "You're just going to sit there and let her get away?!" With that, Tyler snapped out of it and went into action, pushing all of his chips in on a feeling that may have been hard to explain but impossible to deny at that time. Today, we celebrate that gamble, which has paid off in a lifetime of companionship.
