Delvina and Chris opened the door to their new life with a simple swipe. During the earlier part of their relationship, the pair lived in separate cities, and while distance can at times lead to friction, it also has the power to make the heart grow fonder. Through a shared commitment to random texting, silly emojis, and late night Facetime calls, they grew closer, inevitably leading to a forever friend request by Chris, which Delvina happily accepted.
On their wedding day, the two were surrounded by friends and family who brought together a fusion of Jewish and Caribbean cultures; glasses were broken and brooms were hurdled as these two leapt into their life as one. During the reception, they found their seats atop the Hora and came back to the earth for some Soca dancing Cha-Cha-Sliding. At no point was there an empty spot on the dance floor as the crowd’s energy was fueled by the collective jubilation for the new wedding pact. I think one of the final songs of the night summed it up best: “one love, heart, let’s get together and feel alright.”
Thanks for having my friend Nicki and I as your guest.
The best to you both :)
