With winter wrapping up and spring stepping into the city, we find ourselves walking alongside Mark and Kira, a lovely couple from Pittsburgh who will be giving their vows in a matter of months. Mark has many interesting stories that revolve around his time in academia and Kira enlightened me on the magic of musical theatre. The two first met on a hill by Carnegie Mellon and have been smitten ever since. After dating for a while, Mark asked Kira to take a walk to the hill where they first met; there he asked for her hand in marriage. Unlike the day’s temperature, Mark’s mind was made up. We made the most of a lovely afternoon, visiting The University of Pittsburgh, The Carnegie Library, Schenly and Phipps. It’s days like this you remember how much the city has to offer.
