Today we celebrate the union of Megan and Steve—a brilliant yet humble couple who found one another on the Campus of Notre Dame. As the years passed, their love for one another grew. From singing their alma mater's fight song " at the House that Rockne Built" to studying for graduate exams, they have taken on life's various tests together. The ceremony began with Steve's grandpa providing a sermon tailored for the two; you'd swear he'd been practicing each line from when his grandboy was born. After the ceremony, Megan's grandpa was ready with arms extended, excited to share in the fun. That was a great moment.
Next, everyone jumped on school buses and headed to the Children's Museum. And momentarily, the city stood still as the two had their first dance. After a few simple, smooth moves, Megan and Steve gave a brief, heartfelt address, thanking their friends and family for making the day memorable. After a delicious meal, their parents and siblings provided a few reflections from summer camp, coming-of-age stories, and jokes so perfectly fitted for the occasion that everyone raised their glasses to toast. An overarching theme shared by the speakers and onlookers was how selfless Steve and Megan are and how they've positively impacted each person's life in attendance. After the kind words, the energy turned up, and the party began.
Go Irish and Congratulations!!!
