In a southern engagement celebrated in Nashville, Charmain and Janeen made their way to Nashville—a second celebration of their lifetime commitment. The weekend began with a welcome at Pins Mechanical Company, where the couple greeted their friends and family who came from various corners of the south to celebrate with them. That evening, they enjoyed hot chicken, board games, and bowling as they readied themselves for the coming day's activities. On the day of their ceremony, the couple prepared at the Fairlane Hotel. Built-in 1972, the Fairlane was originally the headquarters of Fidelity Federal Savings and Loan; now refurbished to have a more modern and retro feel, it is one of the staples of the Nashville community.
Janeen was her usual carefree self, choosing a maroon fit for her day. She completed her look by pinning a photo of her mother and grandmother inside her suit, next to her heart. A fitting tribute to her foundation, strong women, both passed but never forgotten.
A few rooms away, Charmain was brimming with energy, showcasing a white smile as she put on her dress and eventually traveled toward the chapel. The ceremony was held at The Rhinestone Wedding Chapel. There, the couple exchanged promises before a small gathering of their chosen family. Such vulnerability is a gift when shared with the right person, for Janeen and Chaimain each have found this in the other.
After enjoying a delicious family-style dinner at Amerigo Italian Restaurant, everyone crammed into Uber and returned to the hotel, piling onto the elevator and up to the Penthouse. There, they cut cake, gave speeches, and enjoyed spirits atop downtown Nashville. Congratulations to my dear friends! I am proud of you. '
